Incredible end of Transpyr Coast to Coast when finally reaching the Mediterranean

Today, the participants have been able to complete the bottle with Mediterranean water, in the toughest edition of Transpyr Coast to Coast. An edition marked by the revolutionary change of itinerary from North to South and from West to East, passing through France and Spain.
Today the Transpyr Gran Raid MTB participants have overcome the last slopes to finally reach the Mediterranean Sea. In a stage that was not a gift, they crossed the lush valleys of Alta Garrotxa and, once they crossed the bridge over the river Llerca, entered the plains of l’Empordà. There, in the historic town of Besalú, the second aid station has been found next to the medieval bridge.
In the end, the winners of Transpyr Coast to Coast were Oscar Sebastían and Albert Rota in the men’s category in the men’s category, Iker Irastorza and Carlos Medina in the master’s category, Diego Galofré and David Cuadrado in the grand master’s and, finally, Siska Simone Marrecau and Dries Smeuninx in the mixed category.
Today the winners of the Pirelli Transpyr Gran Raid MTB Solo Criterium have also been given the trophies for Manuel Llano in the men’s category and Ana Martínez in the women’s category.
As for Transpyr Backroads, today has been a tougher stage than usual despite being the last. In addition to making the Coll de ares and the Coustoujes, in French territory, very close to the finish line, they have made the last effort to make the port of Sant Pere de Rodes and Perafita. And all this with a marinade wind that made progress difficult.
